Defined in: useWaveform.ts:18

How useWaveform scales bars.

Properties

floorDb?

floorDb?: number;

Defined in: display.ts:387

Level mapped to 0 by scale: 'db', in dB relative to the reference. Default -40.

Inherited from

NormalizeOptions.floorDb

percentile?

percentile?: number;

Defined in: useWaveform.ts:25

Percentile of the bucket levels used as the reference when reference is not given (see peaksLevel). The reference is taken over the whole analyzed range, so zooming or changing barCount never rescales the waveform. Default 1 (the loudest bucket).

reference?

reference?: number;

Defined in: display.ts:385

Level that maps to 1. Defaults to the largest magnitude of the input; use peaksLevel for a stable scale across zoom levels and bar counts. Values above the reference are clamped.

Inherited from

NormalizeOptions.reference

scale?

scale?: "linear" | "db";

Defined in: display.ts:379

  • linear (default): divide by the reference. Keeps silence at 0 and the proportions between bars.
  • db: decibels relative to the reference, mapped from floorDb…0 dB to 0…1. Brings out quiet passages.

Inherited from

NormalizeOptions.scale
